PROTECTIVE SERVICES

There is need for vessel agent & operators to appoint a preferred agent to supervise the charterer’s agency function and monitor port operations. The scope and coverage of services provided includes protection for ship owners in various situation, namely third party insurance , which incorporates coverage for the following:

 

  • Confirmation of port restrictions and any port operating practices
  • Appointment of the shippers / receivers /charterers’ agents
  • Checking of all cargo documents, charterer’s agent reports, timesheets and countersignature of final SOF for accuracy. Where disparities occur, inform owners and resolve conflict if possible
  • CTM for master (subject to remittance, additional boat & transportation charge USD50 will be added)
  • Conducting crew change or making an arrangement for crew treatment in an effective manner
  • Negotiating all type of cargo claims on behalf of owners. Conducting Maritime consultancy and providing legal advice in respect of port and admiralty matters.
  • Checking the cargo documents/SOF/time sheets and reporting any discrepancy to Principals immediately.
  • After the call: Collecting all relevant call documents
